THERE are two diametrically opposing views of Ant and Dec; you either get them or you don’t.

Even if you fall into the latter category there’s no denying that the Geordie lads are one of the hottest acts on TV today.

Gwen Russell charts their career from early days in Byker Grove through to I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

ITV is paying huge money to the pair and they have survived the great phone-in scandal.

But fame is fickle and one day it will all come to an end.

Ant and Dec know this and, as the book reveals, are very careful with their money.

Asked why they stashed away their cash Dec replied: “Because then we can use it when no-one likes us.”

There are a few interesting nuggets like this in the book, but unless you are a fan it won’t be top of your must-buy list.
