IT’S a decision that’s got a whole society buzzing.

Longwood Amateur Operatic Society can’t wait to share their news.

They’ve only just tied up all the loose ends from the production of Oklahoma which was such a success at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in the autumn but they are already looking to next year’s show.

“We’ve chosen Oliver and we will be staging it in the first full week of October 2013,” said the society’s chairman, Granville Stead.

“Everyone’s very excited. This is a real family show, packed full of memorable tunes with a real tug at the heart strings story.

“We will be auditioning in February and will be looking for young actors to play the boys in Fagin’s gang.”

Longwood has staged this spectacular show before but can’t wait to give it a fresh new look using some of the many talented young people in the town.

So what they are saying is: watch this space for news on how to join them in Oliver which opens on October 1, 2013 at the LBT.
