TWO artists, both members of Huddersfield Arts Society, have an exhibition of their work on show in Marsden.

Work by Rob Greenwood and Chris Fallowfield is being exhibited at the Month of Sundaes coffee shop and ice cream parlour.

The two artists have much in common apart from their membership of the Art Society which saw them both exhibit their work this year at Huddersfield Art Gallery.

Both live in Almondbury and have recently taken early retirement in order to concentrate on their artistic pursuits. They met at drawing workshops.

Rob Greenwood has an interest in local history and architecture; and local views and buildings feature in much of his work.

Rob studied art at Bradford College and subsequently worked on community arts and mural projects. Until two years ago, he was Disability Access officer at Kirklees Council.

Chris Fallowfield studied art at St Albans and until recently worked as a gardener and master craftsman dry stone waller. The exhibition runs until January 1.
