LET’S go to the movies. That’s the invitation from concert organisers at the Penistone Paramount.

Tomorrow (June 8) at 2.30pm, there will be an afternoon of film and music from Laurel and Hardy to Lloyd-Webber.

Top organist Donald Mackenzie is the man at the Paramount’s Mighty Compton Cinema Organ.

Donald has had a long association with the Odeon Leicester Square where he has played the Compton organ regularly at film premières, special events and organ concerts.

He also specialises in the accompaniment of silent films and now has more than 20 feature films 'under his fingers' including the major classics of the silent screen.

And don’t forget that every Thursday, at the nearby St Andrew’s Church in Penistone (1pm), Kevin Grunill is in concert on the Allen Digital Theatre Organ.
