IT IS big band time at the Paramount in Penistone next weekend
Headlining are the Take 2 Big Band plus organist Kevin Grunill who is also big band fan.
The Take2 Big Band is an 18 strong group of musicians.
It was formed five years ago by musical director John Hopkinson and is now much in demand for engagements covering all musical styles.
They play a wide range of music varying from the old standards of Glen Miller, the more recent music of Maynard Ferguson and right up to modern day music from the likes of Toto and Michael Jackson.
The band line-up includes four trombones, four trumpets, six saxophones, keyboards, bass, drums and rhythm guitar.
Kevin will be playing the Paramount’s Compton cinema organ in an afternoon programme that is all about entertainment.
The concert is on August 13 at 2.30pm and tickets are £8.50.
