BRIGHTEN your summer with a concert packed with music, dance and with a really good cause at its heart.

The founders of local charity, Caritas are staging a show at the United Reform Church in Moldgreen on July 31.

It promises to be a fun night out with a packed concert programme including the Zoe Cook Dancers, Adam Lancey, Beth Dale and Andrew Bailey.

New act The Really Useless Group will be featured and it is hoped that Marina Haigh and Gina Cook will be offering up one of their hilarious comedy routines.

ReJoysing, the children’s choir founded by Caritas, will be singing and the compere is Norman Mellor who could give anyone a run for their money in the music department.

Caritas was founded by musical colleagues and friends Gordon Balmforth, Alan Bradford, Elaine Cockram and Pat Graham.

All four have long worked closely with a whole number of musical organisations and still want to do more.

Their idea in forming Caritas was to use their musical talents to raise money to help some of the more vulnerable, less able people in society.

If that means helping those with long-term medical conditions and their carers by offering to do the weekly shopping, decorating or gardening then that is what they do.

They also love making music and that’s why they are bringing together people they know from the musical theatre and entertainment worlds to raise money for Caritas.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £6 on the door or by ringing Alan Bradford on 01484 850822.
