HE’S a classical pianist who also has an extraordinary gift for playing jazz.

Put those two together and it is little wonder that George King is a welcome return visitor to Kirklees.

He has played during the lunchtime series at Dewsbury before and audiences there will be delighted that he’s been included in the current programme.

Expect to hear works by Beethoven and Rachmaninov but listen out too for his improvisation on Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.

George is a rarity among classical concert pianists as he is also an internationally respected jazz pianist and composer.

Enjoy a real taste of top level musical talent at Dewsbury Town Hall on Wednesday January 11.

The concert starts at 12.30pm and tickets are £5 (£3.50 concessions) from Kirklees Booking Offices on 01924 324501 or you can pay on the door
