IT HAS great songs, more than a dash of romance and that feel good factor that we could all do with a dose of.

Oklahoma is a much loved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical and there’s no surprise that Longwood Amateur Operatic Society has fallen for its charms all over again.

The society’s new production of this enduring show is in the main house at the Lawrence Batley Theatre from October 2. But first come the auditions.

So if you want to be centre stage when this family orientated society puts on this real hum-along show then here’s your chance.

The company is auditioning at Dundas Street in Huddersfield on Sunday February 19.

The man to talk to is Granville Stead on 01484 452308 and he can give you details about times and audition pieces.

Remember this a show bursting with memorable melodies including Oh What a Beautiful Mornin’, People Will Say We're in Love and Many a New Day!

So get singing and get ringing Granville.
