A mini music festival will make its presence heard when it takes over a Huddersfield music venue this weekend.

Making a return after its first successful event in April, the one day musical fiesta will showcase the best in young, local talent at Bar 1:22 on July 19 from 5pm.

Headlining the bill will be Castleford’s Allusondrugs, a five piece alternative-rock band.

They will be supported by garage rockers, Dead End Friends, James Finn, psychedelic grunge rock outfit, The Rubber Sound Experiment and punk rock trio, The Sycophants,

Indie rockabilly group, The Kahunas, alternative noise pop group, Under the Archway and folk band Lana and the Lion will also tread the boards.

It’s organiser and Dead End Friends member, 17-year-old, Daniel Sharp, said: “Hopefully it will be even bigger and better than before.

“There is a growing Rock and Indie Music scene in Huddersfield at the moment, lead by a host of bands which are mostly made up of students from the local colleges and I am keen to raise the profile of the raw talent that exists locally.

Tickets cost £5 on the door for over 16s.
