Members from two of the UK’s leading indie outfits of the noughties who banded together to create a quirky supergroup The Viper Kings will take to a Huddersfield stage as part of a large charity gig.

The Zutons’ lead guitarist, Paul Malloy and The Coral’s drummer, Ian Skelly, will be the stars of the show on November 22 when the curtains go up on their gig at The Parish.

Raising money for Cancer Research UK, they will showcase their new catalogue of takes on blues, soul, rock ‘n’ roll classics, which they have been working on since they formed at the beginning of the year.

And Huddersfield music scene favourites Knuckle and Du Dauphine will be sharing the limelight, when they open up the one-off gig on the night.

Organised by Huddersfield resident, Sean O-Toole, he hopes to raise at least £200 to donate to research on the disease and to help pioneer new treatments.

Tickets, which cost £10 each, are on sale at Vinyl Tap, The Parish and Finders Keepers.
