This weekend will see the start of May — and the first of two bank holidays to enjoy.

Most of us will enjoy an extra day off work on Monday giving us extra time to enjoy ourselves this weekend.

Try Beer Ink's brews for the first time

Head to Plover Road, Lindley this weekend to sample some brand new beers from a Huddersfield brewer. Ryan Stoppard is opening the doors to his Beer Ink taproom and brewery for the first time on Friday night at 6pm, and the taproom will be open noon-11pm Saturday and Sunday, and 1pm-6pm Bank Holiday Monday to showcase the brewery's five core ales. Try new cocktail specials as Revolution

Head to Revolution Huddersfield this weekend for samples of the bar's new cocktail specials, in association with Stolichnaya Vodka. There will also be cocktail and food deals, DJs, party cannons, live music, and free ice lollies! The bar will host an all-day terrace party from noon on Sunday.
