The end of 2014 marked the culmination of a successful year for Huddersfield musician Pat Fulgoni.
The talented drum and bass singer saw two tracks he featured on receive high praise from industry pros.
His first end-of-year success came when it was revealed that Desire Paths, the album by Technimatic on which he sang and co-wrote the second single Like a Memory, had made it into Mixmag’s list of top 10 albums of 2014.
He received even more good news when the track made it onto the first disc of Drum and Bass Arena 18 Years, which compiled a selection of influential tracks.
Another single, All Night, which he created with Camo and Krooked for the lead song of the Zeitgeist album, was also included in the track listings.
It follows his decision to branch out into collaborations with up-and-coming drum and bass artists on large dance labels like Hospital and Shogun Audio.
There was even more good news for fans of his band, Kava Kava, as they played at the Cork Jazz Festival last autumn after taking a break from live performances.
“I guess these are big deals in dance music circles so it’s definitely happy days,’’ Pat added.
He is now hoping for even bigger things in 2015.
