Huddersfield nightclub Tokyo opens tomorrow night after a six-figure refurbishment — and you can take a look inside with our gallery.

The Queen Street club, will open the doors of the The Old Court House this weekend, introducing a revamped Tokyo and three other bars to revellers.

As well as Tokyo, the building will include Brewhaus on the ground floor, offering craft beers and cocktails, Louie's Liquor Store in the basement, styled as a American speakeasy and boasting more than 50 varieties of bourbon, and The Boneyard, an outdoor terrace with barbecues, cocktails and live music.

Over the past two and a half months, the building has undergone a major transformation and 30 new staff members have been hired.

Nigel Holliday, business development director at Tokyo Industries, said: “Tokyo has been in Huddersfield for 10 years and we have had a really great run, but tastes and styles change and we have to adapt.

“We have transformed it into four different areas which will open at different times to suit different demographics, We hope to persuade fewer Huddersfield people to jump on the trains or into the taxis to go to Leeds.”

Features of the refurbishment include an LED video wall and VIP area and booths overlooking the dance floor.

The Old Court House will host a VIP evening this evening and opens its doors to the public on Saturday.

Tokyo Industries, based in Newcastle, operates more than 20 nightclubs and leisure venues in towns and cities including Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Oldham, York and Lincoln.
