The Voice star Georgia Harrup has lined up a summer of gigs.

The Huddersfield singer who reached the televised finals of the BBC talent show will be on stage at a Watford festival this weekend.

And she follows her appearance at Jazz in the Park at Cassiobury Park with a string of concerts around the country.

They include a gig at the Bingley Music Festival back in her native Yorkshire in August.

Georgia became one of the “final 12″ and Sir Tom Jones’ three finalists alongside Sally Barker and Bizzi Dixon when she took part in The Voice earlier this year.

Entering the quarter-finals she sang Sam Smith’s version of “Money on my Mind” but was voted off the show by the public vote.

The verdict did not dampen the enthusiasm of the 27-year-old from Lepton.

She said: “I have come further than I had ever imagined and to reach the live quarter finals was a dream, thank-you to everyone who voted and for all your support.

“I had a great opportunity given to me and what I aim to do now is to use that.

“THIS is what I want to do with my life”.

Georgia has lined up 15 gigs running through the summer and autumn and will be performing in places including London, Marlow, High Wycombe and Aylesbury.

She is also currently writing her debut album.

On her Facebook page, Georgia said: “Five whole days to go until I am on stage at Jazz in the Park in Watford on Sunday 22nd of June!! Would really love to know what songs YOU would like to hear or see me perform!! Get in touch either by DM or at georgiamayharrup@gmail.com #staypeachy”
