INTERNATIONAL recording and broadcasting organist John Mann is in concert in Penistone this weekend.
John plays at the Paramount on Sunday (2pm) and there are a string of other organ concerts to look forward to.
Simon Gledhill will take his place at the Mighty Compton Cinema Organ for a celebratory concert in September.
This second recital is to mark the 75th anniversary of the opening of the organ in its original home at the Paramount Theatre in Birmingham in September 1937.
The concert is on September 15 at 2.30pm.

The concerts are organised by the Penistone Cinema Organ Trust and run throughout the year.
In addition, every Thursday (1pm) there is a further treat for fans of organ music.
Concerts are held weekly at the nearby St Andrew’s Church in Penistone there is an organ concert played either by Kevin Grunill or by an occasional guest organist in concert on the Allen Digital Theatre Organ.
