THEY are a team of performers who just love to sing.

Little wonder that they’ve called their group Singing For Life and are building up quite a following for the concerts they are staging across the area.

Their next two concerts are at Crosland Moor and Slaithwaite.

The first is at St Barnabas Church in Crosland Moor on Saturday, February 20 (7pm) with another on Saturday, March 6 (3pm) at St James’ Church at Slaithwaite.

Most of this talented group of singers are well known from appearances in operatic societies around the town.

Many will have seen Dominic Moccia and Holly Comber in recent productions with Huddersfield Light Opera Company and Moldgreen’s Spot On Musical Theatre.

Holly has appeared in shows in Marsden alongside her brother, Chris Comber, who is also in the Singing For Life team.

The line-up also includes singers such as Mrs Sunderland prizewinner Ann Wilkes and Alan Bradford who sings with Honley Male Voice Choir.

Singer Georgina Ainsworth said: “At the moment the team has been fundraising for charities close to ourselves, but we’re interested in any charities that would like us to come and do some concerts. We’re always eager to help.

“And if there are any other singers out there who would like to join us, we’d love to hear from them.”
