MICHAEL BUBLE: Christmas.@Guess it had to happen, a festive Buble. But what’s this? Not just swing numbers like Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, there’s also a slowed-down piano-backed version of All I Want For Christmas Is You, a cheeky little rendition of Santa Baby, a New Orleans jazz bash at Blue Christmas and a dewy-eyed string-wracked 50s style interpretation of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

THE WURZELS: Christmas Album.@ Surreal. Either a wicked waste of cds or so bad it’s brilliant. You decide … but then again.

LIBERA: The Christmas Album.@A real boy band of 24 youngsters aged from seven to 16 from south London who have done five classic albums in the past and now give Christmas a decidedly chorister feel with immaculately produced versions of songs and carols including Joy To The World, Carol Of The Bells, Once In Royal David’s City, O Holy Night, White Christmas, Corpus Christi Carol, In Dulci Jubilo and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Kind of ethereal yet they prove it’s not soft to sing. Send grandma into rapture.
