LONG before Arctic Monkeys or Gorillaz existed there was another simian band....The Blow Monkeys.

The band returned in 2008 - 18 years after going their separate ways - and now they are heading to Holmfirth.

They will perform at the Picturedrome on February 20 as part of a 21-date tour to celebrate the success of their comeback album Devil's Tavern, which was funded by fans through the band's website and was recorded in Spain. New single Travelin' Soul was released on February 2.

Singer Dr Robert, Neville Henry, Mick Anker and Tony Kiley will be mixing classic hits such as Digging Your Scene and You Don't Own Me with new tracks.

Dr Robert promises fans a good show. "We have nearly 30 years worth of songs to draw on. We have our sound. Basically we are about songs. Fashions and trends may come and go but songs live forever."

Tickets cost £15. For more, visit www.picturedrome.net or  www.theblowmonkeys.com .
