CHANCE to win tickets to the Lawrence Batley Theatre’s Comedy Cellar, featuring Isy Suttie, Leroy and Carl Hutchinson.

LAUGHTER is back on the menu at the LBT’s monthly Comedy Cellar event on April 2.

This time, Isy Suttie, Leroy, Carl Hutchinson and MC Anthony J Brown will be tickling the funny bones of the audience.

Matlock-born comedienne Isy likes to mix traditional stand-up with cabaret, performing silly, twisted songs to punctuate her witty stories.

She has been labelled one of the most innovative acts to emerge on the circuit in recent times, drawing comparisons with Victoria Wood and Tom Lehrer.

She has worked regularly on Radio 1 and Radio 4.

Carl Hutchinson is an infectiously funny Geordie comic with a razor sharp wit.

His trump card is the way he interacts with an audience giving a dynamism and spontaneity to his stand-up, which is guaranteed to tickle even the least responsive of ribs.

Reviewers have said he manages to make the ‘mundane hilarious’.

Leroy takes a different approach to his comedy, adopting a more laconic, cutting style of self-deprecating humour.

MC Anthony J Brown has the task of connecting the comedians to create a night of seamless laughs.

Tickets cost £9 or £7 for concessions, £5 with an NUS student card from the box office on 01484 430528.

Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start.
