HUDDERSFIELD thrash metallers Evile are the first band to have their talent showcased on Fresh Music.
Their track, Enter The Grave, can be listened to from today on the site at http://www.examiner.co.uk/leisure-and-entertainment/unsigned-bands/
It is the band’s latest single from the album of the same name, which is out on Earache Records.
Singer Matt Drake, guitarist brother Ol, bassist Mike Alexander and drummer Ben Carter signed to the label in 2006, becoming label-mates with names including Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Municipal Waste and Carcass.
They are enjoying ever-increasing success with Enter The Grave on release in the UK, Europe, America and Japan.
Now, Evile have just begun a massive European tour with metal legends Megadeth, who have been assaulting the ears of audiences with their hardcore sound for more than 25 years.
The tour started in Stockholm on February 6 and will see the bands visit Norway, Germany, Luxembourg and Holland before arriving in the UK on February 17 in Norwich.
The UK leg of the tour is part of Gigantour UK 2008, an annual six-week travelling heavy metal music festival organised by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine.
It was founded in 2005 in America with bands are chosen by Mustaine, who aims to ‘put together a festival that consisted of positive bands that play heavy music in a high energy environment’.
Evile guitarist Ol said being part of the tour is a privilege. “We’re being a part of the FIRST overseas Gigantour, so it’s really awesome for us.”
