COMEDY fans have a chance to catch more underground talent at next month’s Comedy Cellar.
Headlining this month’s japes is exiled Cornishman Paul Kerensa.
He will be joined Juliet Meyers, Kai Humphries and the MC is Anthony J Brown.
Kerensa has established himself as a leading young talent, both as a writer and a comedian. As a ginger man, he has battled both prejudice and apathy but emerged to win ITV's 'Take The Mike' stand-up competition in 2002.
He also writes for various sitcoms including BBC1 hits Not Going Out and After You've Gone, and sketch shows Dead Ringers and BBC3's The Wrong Door.
Managing to mix silliness with edginess, Myers has a chatty style that allows her to interact with the crowd making her much in demand both as a comedian and an MC.
Opening act Kai Humphries is a So You Think You're Funny and Laughing Horse New Act of The Year finalist 2009 and Comedy Store Gong Show winner.
The Comedy Cellar is at the Lawrence Batley Theatre on Thursday April 8. Doors 7pm Show 8pm sharp. Entry £9/7 NUS - £5
