COMEDY fans can kick off the New Year with our fantastic comedy caption competition.

The trio of acts on offer for the first event of 2011 are Roger Monkhouse, Isma Almas and Andy Watson with compere Anthony J Brown.

Monkhouse is a consummate stand-up who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience.

Almas arrived in the UK with her parents from Pakistan in 1978. Drawing on her council estate roots in Bradford, her comedy is intelligent, challenging and honest.

Watson’s quick-fire act immediately grabs audiences with his hard-hitting one-liners and leaves them in hysterics with his playful style and unique physical comedy skills.
