HUDDERSFIELD musicians who want to play international showcases in the USA and Europe are being invited to a free seminar.
The Yorkshire briefing event will explain how to apply for the famous SXSW festival in Texas and the MIDEM event in France.
The events are considered two of the most important for showcasing, deal striking and networking in the international music industry.
Having organised showcases at SXSW since 2006, Huddersfield-based social enterprise Timeless Music Project is now preparing for 2012 with a seminar at Leeds’ Hifi club.
The free event from 6pm on Thursday, September 1, will feature guest speakers and explain more about the events, financial assistance, and how to get there.
