ALT-INDIE band Your New Antique are set for their album launch party next Friday.

The Huddersfield rockers will unveil their debut full length work at The Parish.

The band, formed at Huddersfield University, were signed to York’s Bad Bear Records but are going it alone after the label folded.

Founder member Jay Williams said the album had been almost complete when the label finished.

The frontman said: “We’ve decided to put it out on our own.

“We’ve had a couple of member changes since last year so we’ve got loads of new recording to do.

“But we thought we’d release it anyway, gig it and then get back in the studio.

“I’m looking forward to the launch, it’s going to be awesome but I’m even more looking forward to recording new material with the new members.

“We’ve already got about an album’s worth of new material.”

Your New Antique’s album release party is at The Parish on July 29. Entry £4 or £5 to receive a copy of the album (normally £5).

Support comes from Aged Yummy and another to be announced.

Your New Antique also play Zephyr Bar on July 26 and The Well in Leeds on July 30.
