EIGHTIES legends Go West are heading to Holmfirth Picturedrome with their latest tour.

The band will come to Holmfirth on February 27 as part of their 2009 tour.

They are back with a new album, Futurenow, which comes out on March 2 and single Man On Fire, which is released on April 6.

The tour, which began on February 12, has an interactive feel. The audience choose the set list for each gig.

Beforehand, each member of the crowd is given a list of songs, which they pick one track from along with a dedication.

Singer Peter Cox and guitarist Richard Drummie will then choose 12 songs and dedications and perform them, giving the audience a unique experience.

Go West have had major success worldwide with songs such as Top 5 hit ‘We Close Our Eyes’, ‘Goodbye Girl’, ‘True Colours’, ‘Faithful’ and ‘King Of Wishful Thinking’, which featured on the soundtrack to the film Pretty Woman.

Their self titled debut album GO WEST sold 1.5 million copies worldwide and established the pair as a chart force and as one of the greatest singer-songwriter duos to emerge in the 80’s. They became the focus of media attention, gracing covers and making numerous TV appearances. In 1986 they won a BRIT Award for ‘Best British Newcomer'.

As well as continuing to perform many shows together as GO WEST, last year, Peter recorded a Motown album and Richard took part in a major Trek to The Lost World in Venezuela, together with Tony Hadley and Martin Fry of ABC, in aid of Action Medical Research.

Tickets for the gig cost £18 and are available from 01484 689759. For more details, visit www.picturedrome.net or www.gowest.org.uk
