THE future of Afterparty club nights has been thrown into doubt after promoters were forced to pull the plug on tomorrow’s event.

The warehouse party was due to kick off tomorrow with world famous DJ acts Subfocus, Maverick Sabre, Jack Beats and Doorly.

But the massive event has now been cancelled after suffering from poor ticket sales.

It is the first time ever that the Bates Mill night has been axed, although last summer’s event featuring Example was postponed until October.

A statement from Afterparty chiefs revealed the gig cost them £40,000 to stage and with just a few days to go only a small proportion of tickets had been sold.

It said: “We have always strived to provide Huddersfield with a good option to the norm and amazing line ups without having to travel to Leeds, Manchester or further afield, but unfortunately if our customers don’t support us then we simply wont be able to put these events on any more.

“It was no easy decision cancelling this event, aside of losing your faith and that of the artists and agents involved, cancelling this show loses us a great deal of money in cancellation fees and setup costs.”

Tickets bought from Revolution can be refunded at Camel Club.

All online tickets buyers will be refunded automatically.
