HUDDERSFIELD band Mr Shiraz have been booked to play one of the last ever gigs at Leeds rock venue The Well.

The popular gig spot announced earlier this month that the owner of the premises had revoked its live music permission, forcing its closure.

Gigs are continuing through December but will be axed from January.

Shiraz frontman, Mikey Baird, said: “The Well is a legendary venue, we have so many fond memories there. For a start we played our first ever gig there.

“Let’s say goodbye in style!”

Mr Shiraz will support West Yorkshire ska band Random Hand on Thursday, December 20. Entry is free.
