UP and coming bands and performers are being encouraged to apply for gigs at Huddersfield pub The Parish.

The Kirkgate venue is planning to launch free gig Wednesdays and needs more acts. Promoter, Mikey Baird, said: “It’s a way for us to introduce local talent to the people of Huddersfield as we’re trying to get people to attend more gigs.

“We’re also wanting to showcase the diversity of music we have here in town.”
