THERE’S a real treat in store for live music fans next Friday when Bar 1:22 hosts a top quartet of tunes to rock out and get messy to.

Headliners Silence Rises started out in the summer of 2010 when four former members of Popcorn Groove were joined by a new bassist.

TheyŠmake melodic indie guitar music with ethereal vocals and big loud bits and are currently in the studio recording new material and playing as many live dates as possible.

After successful gigs in Leeds, Silence Rises are itching to unleash let rip in their first home town gig with the new line-up and will be playing a full set of brand new material with a couple of Popcorn Groove classics thrown in.

They said: “Guitars will be loud, beats will be pounding and hooks and riffs will be rammed down your throats like candy-bars.”

Also featuring on the quality bill are crowd-pullers Revamp (the Killermeters in covers-disguise mode), but Vic Vespa, Mick Moore and co will no doubt throw a couple of Killermeters classics in.

Negra Tempo are a superb melodic triumvirate comprising Richard Heeley(vocals), Adrian Pygott (guitar) and Matt Washington (drums) while Circuit Ben makes his own electronic instruments using kids toys and synth parts. He makes a unique sound and has a unique stage show to go with it.

Doors 8pm. Miss it, miss out.
