LIVERPOOL band The Maybes? are planning to capture the sound of summer with their next single.

They will unleash up-tempo anthem Summertime on August 25 as a digital download on Xtra Mile Recordings.

A limited edition 7” vinyl will follow on September 1.

The single will follow on from the success of their previous tracks Talk About You and Boys.

The band hope that Summertime’s harmonies and driving instruments will make it a feel-good hit.

It will be the third release from their debut album, Promise, which is to be released in September. It has been produced by Head, who has worked with names including Massive Attack and PJ Harvey.

The album is described by the band as a fusion of emotional power pop with euphoric dance beats.

It is a combination of the band members’ roots and influences.

If you want a taste of what’s to come, you can catch The Maybes? on their current UK tour, which will see them perform on the BBC Introducing Stage at Leeds Festival on August Bank Holiday.
