BBC Introducing tipped King Charles appears at Huddersfield University this weekend to headline charity concert The People In Crisis.

He will be supported by local indie band Audit Control, 10-piece uni band Funk Regulators and acoustic artist Ben Marron. The event on Saturday, April 17 raises cash for the Mayor of Kirklees’ Charity Appeal. Tickets £4 NUS/advance or £5 door.

BBC Asian network star Bobby Friction is coming to town to feel the Powah of Huddersfield’s dub-step scene. The top DJ, who was wooed to town by new resident star, Manchester-based DJ Celt Islam (right), will take to the decks of the monthly Legends night on April 24. Also on the bill are Connectionist, Red J, Andi G, DJ Rush, Venuq, Mutiny, Jinglist, City Skank, Neb, Dark Angel and Jonny Reggae.
