Music industry conference

PEOPLE interested in working in the music industry are being invited to a conference in Leeds.The Unconference – organised by the team behind Live at Leeds – features a day of seminars and workshops and culminates with live music and networking. The event is on Friday from 10am at Old Broadcasting House opposite Leeds Metropolitan University. BRIGHOUSE troubadour Roger Davies is warming up for the Holmfirth Festival of Folk with a gig at Halifax’s Murgatroyd Arms this Thursday. The folk singer is known for his acoustic songs about his home town and fans at the gig will be some of the first to hear a new song he penned earlier this month, Gordon Brown.

HARD rocking Huddersfield Uni band CobraKiss are playing a hometown gig this week. The five-piece are headlining a night of metal at Bar 1:22 complete with their new drummer Rob Sutherland.Also playing the weekly unsigned night this Friday are Pseudo Nympho, Out Of Ashes, Wake The silence and Bleed The Light.
