HARD rockers the Liberty Slaves are set to open for 80s band The Quireboys at a hometown gig.

The Quireboys were managed by Sharon Osbourne and their 1989 album A Bit Of What You Fancy hit number two in the UK album charts, selling over a million copies worldwide. The Huddersfield based Liberty Slaves will support them at Tokyo bar on February 25.

AFTERPARTY has announced Pendulum will perform a DJ set to headline its next event at Bates Mill on March 12.

The night will also see a rare live performance from Miss Dynamite and DJs Jaguar Skills and Herve on the decks.

POST punk legends The Stranglers are heading out on a three-week UK tour next month. The Black and Blue tour featuring Wilko Johnson and songwriter Mike Marlin will see the band perform a radical shake up of their setlist to include a career-spanning selection of songs, brand new material and some older tracks which haven't been aired live for many years, if at all.
