BUDDING performers are being invited to Halifax as the Square Up Open Mic night relaunches for the autumn season.
The monthly event at the Square Chapel Centre returns on Sunday, September 18 with acoustic sets, bands and comedians.
One band to play the event this year were the Mexanines who went on to play at Leeds Festival last month. Acts confirmed include David Guant and Danny Varley on guitar and keyboard, acoustic guitarist Hugh Gunningham and comedy from Chris Grundy.
The nights start at 8pm and run until 11pm with tickets sold on the door at £2.50 and £2 for concessions. To book a slot for October and November contact Jo at Square Chapel on 01422 353073.
