BROADWAY musical Annie is set for the Penistone stage – and you could be a part of it.

Penistone Centre Stage Musicals present the well-known tale of orphan Annie’s quest to find her parents.

The musical’s songs Tomorrow and It’s The Hard-Knock Life are among its most popular numbers.

And you can see the company perform them in its 90th year. At its recent AGM, Penistone Centre Stage Musicals – which started in 1922 as Penistone and District Amateur Operatic Society – announced the musical will run next March.

And they’re looking for people to star in the show, with auditions taking place on Sunday, July 24, from 10am at St John’s Community Centre Penistone.

Anyone wishing to audition for any of the principal roles should contact the Society’s secretary on 01226 370121 to arrange a time and for copies of audition pieces, while new members are needed for the chorus or to assist in backstage roles.

Rehearsals for the show take place at St John’s Community Centre on Tuesdays at 7.30pm, starting on September 6.

Peter Foster will be producing the show which will be staged at the Paramount.
