ST PATRICK’S Day celebrations are coming early to Holmfirth with a night of Irish entertainment at the Picturedrome tomorrow.
The event will feature The Wee Bag Band, Kevin Hayes and The Cassidy School of Irish Dancing.
Welsh group The Wee Bag Band was born in 1993 as a duo which performed Irish folk music around pubs and clubs all over Europe until 2003 when the group expanded to a foursome.
Two years ago the band became even less ‘wee’ with a flute and fiddle player joining the fold.
Irish funnyman Kevin Hayes never dreamed of being a comedian. His childhood ambition was to become a civil engineer when he grew up. But, in the end, he decided the stage would be his home and he has taken his comedy all over the world from Melbourne to San Francisco, Derry to Dubai.
His TV credits include Live at Jongleurs (ITV), The Comedy Store (Channel 5) and The Stand Up Show on BBC1.
