THE FESTIVE season for members of Paddock Orchestra perhaps begins tomorrow.

The orchestra will head for Fartown and its now annual Christmas concert at the Methodist Church.

The concert starts at 2.30pm, just the time to attract families and people who don’t care to venture out on the darker evenings.

There will be much to warm hearts in a concert full of Christmas cheer.

The orchestra will play movements from Tchaikovsky’s Movements Casse Noisette, the Polka and Dance of the Comedians, Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, Movements from The Dolly Suite by Faure, the Dance of the Tumblers by Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky’s the Waltz of the Flowers.

There will also be carols and mince pies to add to the festive atmosphere.

Tickets are £5 on the door.

This is a well-established amateur orchestra that performs at least three concerts a year. It rehearses on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in Paddock Village Hall.
