ALL SEVEN Harry Potter books in 75 minutes?

Potted Potter: The Unauthorised Harry Experience sounds a splendidly potty idea and has proved a big hit both at the Edinburgh Festival and in London.

If it appeals to you, and all things Potter have a huge audience these days, then the place for you is the Square Chapel in Halifax on Sunday.

The show offers a parody of J K Rowling’s sales busting novels and follows the well trodden route of theatre companies (ever seen the Reduced Shakespeare Company or the National Theatre of Brent) playing havoc and producing hilarious shows in homage to some of our most popular literary creations.

This particular Potter experience is delivered by Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, best-known for their story-telling appearances on Blue Peter. They’ve also performed part of the show on Channel 4’s Richard and Judy programme.

As they zip through the Potter stories, you’ll get reacquainted with all your favourite characters, encounter a fire-eating dragon and be invited to take part in a game of Quidditch. Well two performers don’t make two teams!

Prepare for silly songs, ridiculous props, lots of hats and plenty of exercise for the imagination. There are two performances on Sunday, the first at 2.30pm followed by a second at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 and £6 for concessions from Square Chapel’s Box Office, telephone 01422 349422 or visit www.squarechapel.co.uk.
