We've all ordered ourselves a treat online and agonised over how long it will take to arrive.

Now Huddersfield shoppers could hear the courier's knock just two hours after they have clicked 'purchase'.

Amazon has extended its speedy delivery service Prime Now to West Yorkshire, delivering to postcodes in Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield.

Prime Now is available to HD1, HD2, HD5, HD6 postcodes, with two-hour delivery slots also available in Dewsbury, Mirfield, Batley and Liversedge.

And Amazon customers in selected Leeds postcodes can enjoy one-hour deliveries through Prime Now.

Prime Now delivery costs £6.99 and there is a £20 minimum order value.

More than 15,000 items are eligible for the delivery slots, including the Fire TV stick and food items including Chicago Town pizzas, Birds Eye fish fingers, fresh juices and bottled water.

Jason Weston, director of Amazon's Prime Now in the UK, said: "Prime Now is our fastest delivery option ever and from today Prime customers in Leeds can get the items they need quickly delivered right to the door in under an hour.

"Whether its essentials like fresh milk, nappies or even a last minute gift, customers love the convenience of delivery straight to their door in less than sixty minutes.".
