B&M has also launched a search to find a “local hero” to help officially open the new Elland store. The deserving winner will receive VIP treatment before taking centre stage to cut the ribbon. They will get £250 in gift vouchers to treat themselves or their chosen charity in store.
Heroes can be nominated by family, friends or work colleagues and could be someone who constantly makes life better for people in the Elland area, goes the extra mile for a particular cause or person or is frenowned for their local charity work.
Nominations are being accepted up to Tuesday, April 12, and can be emailed to email@example.com, or sent in writing to Communications, B&M Retail, The Vault, Dakota Drive, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke, Liverpool, L24 8RJ.
Kevin Brennan, store manager at Elland, said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks.”
