Rare records going on sale for Record Store Day in Huddersfield have been revealed.
Vinyl Tap on John William Street has been sifting through special mystery deliveries all week ahead of the big global event tomorrow, which celebrates the culture of independent record shops.
And special editions of David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World, 808 State’s Pacific, Blonde Redhead’s Peel Sessions, Iron Maiden’s Empire of the Clouds and Desmond Dekker’s Rude Boy Ska will be amongst the classics which hopeful vinyl lovers will try to get their hands on from 7am tomorrow morning.
Remember last year's queues?
They will be joined by unknown quantities of others such as Jimmy Page’s She Just Satisfies, Iggy Pop’s Fire Engine and Shirley Collins’ English Songs Vol. 2.

Releases by newer acts available at the shop will include Hozier’s Take Me to Church, Hot 8 Brass Band’s cover of Sexual Healing, Chase and Status’ London Bars, Mercury Rev and Lost Horizons double A-side Rainy Day Record and Life Inside A Paradox and Muse’s Reapers.
More include Regina Spektor’s Soviet Kitsch LP, Bastille’s Hangin’/ Overload, Public Service Broadcasting’s The Other Side and Holmfirth’s Encierro Records release of Chrome Cranks Rubber Rat, whose B-side is Street Waves’ by Pere Ubu.
The more quirky stock on offer comprises of cult comedy character Alan Partridge will be on offer, in the Knowing Me, Knowing You LP, as will an eerily poignant recording of the late Howard Marks reading Dylan Thomas’s Do Not Go Gentle.
Doctor Who’s Genesis of the Daleks and Xiu Xiu’s The Music of Twin Peaks may also be snapped up.
A live nine track recording of Metallica at Le Bataclan in 2003 called Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité, Metallica!, will be available on CD, as will Flaming Lips’ Lightning Strikes the Postman.
Tony Boothroyd, the shop’s owner, expects to see people begin queuing up over night, as they did last year, with hundreds expected to come to the store tomorrow.
Live bands Mr Shiraz, The Orchid Family, Escape Artist, Days Of Riot and Pillgrinns will take over the basement room of the store from late morning, with , The Colne Valley Funk and Soul Club DJing inbetween sets.
Beer will be available from a pop up Magic Rock Bar, as will hot drinks from Dark Woods Coffee.
