THEY are not called The Showstoppers for nothing.
After sell-out Edinburgh and West End seasons, The Showstoppers are touring the UK with a show that wows audiences.
If you are a fan of musicals this company of 14 performers are sure to delight.
The show they bring to the West Yorkshire Playhouse on February 2 is based on a simple premise.
But it is no easy task for the performers. In it, we meet a writer who has just one night in which to create a hit show to impress his producer.
Stuck for ideas, he turns to an audience to tell him what they want to see. And it is their ideas for a title, storylines and even musical styles that his cast have to work with.
Each night, The Showstoppers create a musical from scratch based on what the audience comes up with.
The results have proved understandably unpredictable, but also highly entertaining.
Fresh from a residency at London’s Charing Cross Theatre and a fifth Edinburgh Fringe season in 2012, The Showstoppers are touring the UK.
This is a very different style of show and a must for musical fans. Call the Playhouse box office on 0113 213 7700
