SHE HAS a stage and recording career that goes back an astonishing 50 years and Elaine Delmar (pictured) remains as much a hit as she always was.

Wakefield Jazz are delighted to have the Elaine Delmar Band playing on March 7 featuring the singer who is equally at home in a concert hall, singing for a nightclub audience or in a theatre. Give her an audience and she will deliver.

At Wakefield, Elaine will be accompanied by Jim Mullen, who was unable to join her on her last visit, but whose return has gone down well with club members. Also featured will be Brian Dee (piano), Jeremy Brown (bass) and Chris Dagley (drums).

The Ben Mallinder quintet will play a support set from 7:30pm.

This is an all ticket event at the club’s base, College Grove Sports Club in Eastmoor Road. Tickets: £12 and £10.
