WE ALL like to learn new things, go to new places and meet new people.

So to step into a world of stories, make a date to be on the piazza next to Huddersfield Library on Tuesday between 10am and 4pm.

That’s when professional storytellers Christine McMahon and Ursula

Holden Gill, of the Shaggy Dog Storytellers Club, Hebden Bridge, will be in town for a day of storytelling and story sharing.

This is a free event for people of all ages.

The library service hope that people will listen to a story then visit the mobile library which will be parked on the piazza. The idea is to encourage people to check out what services the libraries have to offer.

This event has been organised by Voluntary Arts England and is part of The Learning Revolution Festival. Throughout October, hundreds of events will highlight the wide variety of learning that is taking place and the difference it makes to individuals, communities and organisations.

Libraries, galleries, adult education providers, sports clubs, voluntary organisations, self organised groups and many other organisations can get involved by showcasing activities that are already available and offering, or profiling new activities to get people started.
