It Iis a village full of musical talent and next weekend, the singers and musicians of Skelmanthorpe will be sharing a stage at a charity concert.

Skelmanthorpe Male Voice Choir and Skelmanthorpe B band will share the billing in a concert at Emmanuel Church in neighbouring Shelley on Saturday September 14.

The event is to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice and has been organised by Shelley Over 60s Club.

The music starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 including refreshments. The choir will be conducted by its musical director, the singer Jane Hobson and the band will be conducted by Philip Garlick.
