THEY are one of the longest established professional theatre companies in Huddersfield and later this month they will be back in the spotlight with a new look at a drama classic.

Proper Job Theatre was founded in the mid Eighties and continues to create community-based work from its base in the Byram Arcade.

Its latest venture is a new production of one of the best-know plays in theatre, Shakespeare’s story of the doomed lovers, Romeo And Juliet. The production opens at the Square Chapel in Halifax on May 20 at 8pm.

The company has set the play in Spain’s Andalucia so expect passion, poetic prose – and Flamenco.

Tickets from the Square Chapel box office on 01422 349422.
