COME rain or shine there will be lots of laughs in the courtyard at the Lawrence Batley Theatre next month.

For one night only, the LBT’s monthly Comedy Cellar goes all summery taking its audience and its comedians out into the great outdoors. Well into the theatre’s courtyard.

So settle back and prepare to keep a smile on your face whatever the weather on Thursday August 9 as Brendan Riley and Sully O’Sullivan hit the gag button.

Brendan is from Liverpool and this stand-up comic is all about anecdotes, gags and inspired improvisation which bring with them a refreshing blast of cheerful North Western humour.

He’s a regular host at the Rawhide Comedy Club in Liverpool, one of the most popular acts for the Jongleurs and Highlight chains of comedy clubs and is heard regularly on BBC Radio 5.

It is three years since Sully was last at the LBT.

This multi-award winning Kiwi comedian first stepped on a stand-up stage in 1998 and won his first award 12 months later. And the awards have kept on coming.

Tickets are £9 with concessions at £7 via the theatre box office on 01484 430528 or online at www.thelbt.org.
