A HIT show by the director of one of the UK’s leading theatres is coming to the LBT.

The Huddersfield showing of Invisible is the only northern date for the drama, written by Croatia’s leading playwright, Tena Stivicic, and directed by the Barbican’s Douglas Rintoul.

Invisible is a funny, moving and topical portrayal of the world in flux and is vivid storytelling at its best.

Lara believes in hard work and talent.

Anton is forced into window cleaning. Malik stands on a beach looking out to a country where the women are provocatively dressed.

Felix has it all but struggles to find reason to get up in the morning. Amid the world of visas and wind turbines, commuter flights and nightclubs, a chance meeting drives disparate lives towards a chilling point of no return.

Invisible is a multi-narrative piece that crosses the globe following a handful of souls heading west or east looking for a better life. Their search feels like they exist in a dream, yet not their own.

Lives become dangerously intertwined, driving them towards a moment of reckoning.

It’s choreographed by Darren Johnston who won the Laban Award for Outstanding Choreographic Achievement.

Among the cast is Liam Bergin, who trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

His theatre credits include Much Ado About Nothing, The Marriage of Figaro and Romeo and Juliet, but he’s also appeared in Eastenders, TV soap Doctors and TV drama Minder.

Co-stars include Jon Foster, Krystian Godlewski A and Gracy Goldman who all have vast stage experience.

See Invisible at the Lawrence Batley Theatre on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 January, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £16, £14, £12 from the Theatre Box Office on 01484 430528 or book online at www.thelbt.org.
