VILLAGE halls will become theatre space for a Yorkshire-based theatre company’s latest work.

The bizarrely-named Planet Rabbit Productions Ltd are getting ready to showcase Blitz Bride by Claire Spratt.

Theatre-goers in Holmfirth might have seen the show already this summer.

But they company is bringing it to two rural locations around Huddersfield, appearing at Denshaw Village Hall at 2.45pm on October 22.

And at St Thomas’ Parish Hall, Greetland, on October 27 at 2.30pm.

Wartime comedy Blitz Bride, debuted at the Buxton Festival Fringe, tells the story of ATS girl Ruby, who is set to wed Henry – a little sooner than planned.

They want to avoid a posting abroad and it’s left to her mother and heavily pregnant best friend, Nancy, to organise the wedding.

The story is based on true anecdotes from war time memories.

And the show even offers a sing-along too.

Tickets are £6 on the door or from info@planetrabbit.co.ukŠor on 01422 648069.
