THERE’S a taste here in Huddersfield next week of some of the comedy talent to be seen later this summer at the Edinburgh Festival.
Danny McLoughlin and Bethany Black feature in the monthly Comedy Cellar session at the Lawrence Batley Theatre on Thursday (July 12).
Danny McLoughlin has the sharp wit and strong stage presence that have seen him become a much sought after act in his short time as a stand up.
A finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of The Year four years ago, Danny went on to perform as part of the Big Value Comedy Show during the Edinburgh Festival in 2009.
Bethany Black offers a dark and sarcastic view of the world's taboo subjects.
Her foray into comedy was as a compere between the bands at Preston's infamous Club Fuzzy.
Since then the self-styled Fairy Gothmother has plied her unique brand of dark off the wall observations right across the UK.
